Headliner bio

Karl Spain (Ireland) – Karl spent most of 2022 and early 2023 as Kevin Bridges tour support for his Arena tour of the UK and Ireland. Karl has also had his own series on Irish Television called ‘Karl Spain wants a woman’ and also ‘Karl Spain wants to Rock’. Karl is a festival favourite from appearing at every Cat Laughs festival since 2002 to the Edinburgh festival, Just for Laughs in Montreal, festivals in Australia. He hosts the late night KARLnival at the Galway comedy carnival. Karl has also appeared at every Kilkenomics festival since it began, the world’s only Comedy/Economics festival. As a writer Karl has worked in a number of different realms from Situation Comedy (Sky Shorts) ,The Late Late Toy Show Topical News shows (like Republic of Telly and the Blame Game), Award shows (like the IFTA’S) and Karl has co-written the Olympia Panto.

The shows are all about enjoying great stand-up comedy in English in a lovely setting great for meeting expats and internationally-minded social natives! Who knows what’ll happen!
