EN In Firmamento, Marcos Morau and La Veronal, last seen at Grand Théâtre in 2021 with Sonoma, conjure a mesmerising visual spectacle exploring the transition from childhood to adolescence – a time of transformation, contradiction, raw intensity, and boundless imagination. Six dancers inhabit a retro-futuristic universe populated by strange machines and extravagant puppets, their precise movements creating a world of endless possibilities. Juan Cristóbal Saavedra’s soundscape blends traditional instruments with electronic music, incorporating transformed versions of Wagner, Strauss, Bowie, Anderson, and more. As the performers move through ever-changing environments, dance merges with cinema and theatre. Drawing from Giotto’s angels in the Scrovegni Chapel, Firmamento meditates on that pivotal moment when childhood dreams give way to adult possibilities, and reality dissolves into infinite potential.

FR Marcos Morau, qui a fondé La Veronal en 2005, s’est imposé comme une figure incontournable de la scène chorégraphique internationale maintes fois primée. Après Sonoma (20 • 21), il revient au Grand Théâtre avec une nouvelle création à destination des jeunes et adolescent.e.s qui se trouvent à un moment charnière de leur vie. D’un côté, ils et elles font le deuil de l’enfance et de l’autre, ils et elles découvrent un nouveau monde qui se profile à l’horizon. Il s’agit d’un moment critique où les idées se développent dans notre imagination en tant que possibilités. Sur scène, six danseurs et danseuses de La Veronal évoluent de façon théâtrale, tout en mouvements saccadés et mécaniques, entre poésie intense et anxiété. Firmamento met en danse ce labyrinthe de possibilités, dans un spectacle et un univers chorégraphique hors du commun, à mi-chemin entre danse, cinéma et théâtre.

Ihre neue Kreation Firmamento richtet sich vor allem an Jugendliche und Heranwachsende, die sich an dem Punkt ihres Lebens befinden, an dem sie der Kindheit nachzutrauern beginnen, während sich gleichzeitig ein neues Universum am Horizont abzeichnet.
