Synopsis : A powerful documentary chronicling survivors’ fight for justice after decades of abuse in Ireland’s Magdalene Laundries and Mother and Baby Homes. With the support of Justice for Magdalenes (JFM), survivors seek accountability from the Irish government for forced labour, incarceration, and the cruel separation of mothers from their children-many lost to illegal adoptions. JFM’s campaign gains momentum after mass graves at High Park expose the indignities suffered even in death. Survivors testify before the UN, prompting calls for justice, yet Ireland’s response remains evasive. Despite systemic denial, TESTIMONY finds hope in moments of recognition, such as the Dublin Honours Magdalenes event. Through raw honesty, the film demands truth, reparations, legal action, ensuring these injustices are never forgotten. It is both a tribute and a call to action.
