Synopsis : This SHORTS EVENING will include the screening of Excerpts from the submissions to the Young Filmmakers Competition 2025-26, including the winning short films in their entireity, as well as the documentary film made by last year's winners.

Echoes of Galway (documentary, 15 mins, by Nina Zimmer & Salomé-Ange Wilk): The winners of the British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg Young Filmmakers Competition 2024-25 had the opportunity to travel to Galway for one week in July 2025, during which time they were given free rein to shoot a documentary. "We dismantled the omnipresence, importance and magic of music through conversations with strangers and wander around the city". Two teenage girls in search of freedom, friendship, and belonging run away from their lives in the UK with a dangerous plan of travelling to Syria.
